Last year was momentous for our community, as Washington State became the first in the country to embrace marriage equality by popular vote. In 2013, we celebrated this historic event and rejoiced in the positive effects marriage equality began to have on our community and on the state. QLaw's work to improve our community continued in 2013 as we focused on improving the lives of vulnerable members of our community, including at-risk youth and seniors.

Our keynote speaker was Bob Ferguson, Washington State Attorney General. We also debuted a short documentary created by QLAW celebrating Washington marriage equality and enjoy entertainment provided by Captain Smartypants, an ensemble of the Seattle Men’s Chorus.

The QLAW banquet is one of the largest -attended minority bar events, with more than 400 guests, including judges, elected officials, and community leaders.
