Join QLaw

Thank you for your interest in QLaw! We appreciate your support of our mission and goals, and we depend on your membership and your participation to make QLaw a valuable, meaningful, and fun organization.

The cost to join QLaw is minimal, but the benefits are many, including:

• FREE listing in QLaw’s online member directory to help prospective clients seeking LGBT-friendly attorneys find you;
  
• FREE access our job board to connect with employers interested in LGBT diversity and inclusion;
  
• FREE QLaw networking events across the state to connect with judges, attorneys, and other legal professionals;
  
• FREE and reduced-rate QLaw-sponsored CLEs throughout the year;
  
• FREE participation in our mentoring program as a mentor or mentee;
  
• 50% off membership in the National LGBT Bar Association, which produces the annual Lavender Law conference;
  
• Reduced admission cost for QLaw’s annual banquet;
  
• Opportunity to participate on QLaw committees, including our Judicial Evaluations Committee and Issues Advocacy Committee; and

Be aware that many employers, especially law firms, may pay or reimburse your membership dues. (Don’t be afraid to ask! They may want to show their own support through sponsorship and promoting that their workplace is affirming and inclusive.)

Membership is open to any individual supportive of our mission and goals, regardless of LGBT identity, who is (a) an attorney duly admitted to practice law in the State of Washington or another state and not currently suspended or disbarred, (b) another legal professional, or (c) a law student.

Note that our membership cycle follows the calendar year, and dues are not prorated for members joining mid-year.

If you would like to renew an existing or lapsed membership, please log in to the website, then click on your hyperlinked name in the upper right corner of the screen and follow renewal instructions. More details are available at Renewal FAQ.

(Our membership software system will only allow the same email address to appear in a single record, so the "Join Now" process is only available to first time members.)
