Beth Barrett Bloom, President: Beth is a labor and employment attorney with Frank Freed Subit & Thomas, LLP . A past WSBA Leadership Institute fellow, she co-founded QLaw with Mike Heath in order to build a vibrant and fun community of gay lawyers. Beth and her partner Rebecca spend their free time chasing their four year-old son Eli.
Cynthia Buhr: Cynthia is a partner with Spencer Anderson & Buhr PLLC, where she has an active family law practice. Prior to joining Spencer Anderson & Buhr, PLLC, Cynthia worked as an intern at SCRAP, ACLU of Washington, San Francisco AIDS Legal Referral Panel and Seattle King County Superior Court. When not volunteering with QLaw and Lambert House, she can be seen riding her bike around Seattle.
Samuel Castic: Sam is an associate attorney in the commercial litigation practice at K&L Gates. Previously, Sam worked as a clinical intern for the American Civil Liberties Union LGBT Project and for the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York, where he worked in the civil division. Sam also served our community as a McCleary Law Fellow with the Human Rights Campaign.
Lisa Gilmore, Secretary: Lisa practices family law at Helsell Fetterman LLP. When not at work or busy working on QLAW matters, she can be found volunteering with the King County Bar Association Domestic Violence Clinic. She and her partner Larysa enjoy spending time outdoors, playing soccer, going to Storm games and playing with their Bull Terrier, Bodger.
Andrew Kamins, Treasurer: Andrew is a litigator with Heller Ehrman LLP. He and his partner make their home in Seattle.
James McGuire: James is an attorney with the Bellevue firm of Moschetto & Koplin, Inc. P.S. where his practice emphasizes family law. He spends his free time fixing up his house, working out, and traveling.
Jill Mullins: Jill, a recent UW Law School graduate, was an extern for Judge Shea in the Eastern District of Washington and served as the John Caughlan legal fellow for the ACLU-Wa. As part of her participation with UW Outlaws, she collaborated with SU Outlaws and other groups to organize community information panels addressing the intersection of the law and LGBT lives. In her free time Jill can be found enjoying a Storm Game, Seattle Repertory Plays, or socializing at a coffee shop.
