We invite you to join us
at the 2020 QLaw Annual Banquet!

Friday, June 19, 2020

The QLaw Annual Banquet is an opportunity to celebrate the diverse LGBTQ communities within the legal profession, to gather as friends, “family,” and colleagues, and to reflect on the victories of the last year and the struggles still to come. Each year, the QLaw Annual Banquet welcomes over 400 attorneys, judges, legal professionals, public officials, and LGBTQ leaders and visionaries from throughout the state.

This year, the QLaw Association is pleased to welcome Justice Raquel Montoya-Lewis, the newest member of the Washington State Supreme Court. Justice Montoya-Lewis served as a Superior Court Judge for Whatcom County until her appointment to the Washington State Supreme Court in December 2019. Governor Jay Inslee appointed her to the Whatcom County Superior Court in December 2014, and she was elected to her position in 2015 and 2016. During her time on the Superior Court, she heard a wide variety of cases, ranging from felony criminal cases, family law matters, child welfare, civil jury and bench trials on a wide range of civil matters. She presents nationally on implicit bias, cultural identity, engaging families and youth in dependency and juvenile court, Indian Child Welfare compliance, and tribal trial and appellate court practice.

For our guests traveling from outside of the greater King County area, we are pleased to offer a discounted ticket price. Please contact [email protected] for more information. We look forward to seeing you at the 2020 QLaw Annual Banquet!
